Christopher Rodriguez’s Child Sex Abuse Conviction
Former UCLA Child Care Center teacher Christopher Rodriguez was sentenced to seven years in county jail on June 6 over multiple counts of sexually abusing children between the ages of three and four.
Rodriguez worked for UCLA’s Early Care and Education (ECE) department in Los Angeles for almost 25 years, according to UCLA’s Daily Bruin. He ended up being convicted of nine counts of child sexual abuse, which included willful cruelty to a child, sexual battery against a minor, and penetration with a foreign object.
Rodriguez will be registered as a sex offender for 10 years. His registration will then be reviewed.
On December 15, 2023, a UCLA employee observed Rodriguez with his arm, torso and head on a student. Rodriguez’s arrest occurred on February 21, 2024 following an investigation by the UCLA Police Department.

Rodriguez worked at two UCLA Early Care and Education Centers (ECEC) locations, including the Krieger center.

The abuse occurred during school hours while children were under his care, between July 2023 and December 2023.
