A lawsuit was filed on May 9 in Massachusetts by a California woman alleging that SharkNinja deceptively marketed Ninja Foodi pressure cookers.
The woman claims she bought a Ninja Foodi pressure cooker in May 2021, but immediately stopped using the product upon learning of the recall issued earlier this month.
The woman alleges she would not have bought the device if she knew that it had a defect which can lead to second- or third-degree burns.
